I integrated sensors on a power wheelchair with the goal to acquire data that will estimate the change of position and orientation of the wheelchair. Knowing the wheelchair’s location, also known as odometry, is necessary for further developing intelligent wheelchairs and enhance shared autonomy with the user and the medical device.
